Résumé : Afin de garder pour lui seul le secret de l’emplacement d’une fortune gigantesque en or, Jacob Walz n’hésite pas à abattre trois hommes, dont son meilleur ami. De retour à Phoenix, Arizona, il ne peut cacher sa soudaine richesse. Si toute la ville épie ses moindres faits et gestes, Julia Thomas se montre plus habile que ses concitoyens. Elle séduit Walz et, sans que son mari ne soit jamais très loin, entreprend de le manipuler de manière à trouver l’emplacement de l’or…
